 Cat training is there such a thing?

 

When we relate to cats the general opinion would be independent proud and in some cases unapproachable. You wouldn’t think for one moment that training cats would be possible especially toilet training a cat.

 


 They appear to be in a world of their own and their behaviour pattern seems to be doing just what they please. I often look at a cat and envy their temperament and how contented they are in their lives. It would be acceptable if your thoughts leaned towards the fact it would not be possible learn how to train cats. However nothing could be farther from the truth some people get involved in crate training cats others clicker training for cats or even how to train a cat to use the toilet.

 

 Many people today get a great deal of pleasure out of training their cat to simple things like sit and stay to jumping through hoops and it seems that cats really get a lot of pleasure from this training.

There are some great advantages to training your cat. Cats in general have lonely exclusive existence but it is most cases not their choice. Cats love attention and to be fussed over. When you get involved in training your cat it’s similar to any type of training you have to demonstrate leadership and control.

 

Very often with cats they don’t need to be trained in the general things like cleaning their selves or where to poop they are very independent and often proud with regard to this. Unlike dogs who need far more help in this area.

By getting involved and learning how to train cats is an incredible way to improve the life of your cat. It’s a really good way of building a healthy relationship with him. When you learn how to train cats you will gain more respect when you reward him for his obedience. Recent reports show that nervous difficult cats often are comforted when introduced to training.

 

The question is where do you start to learn how to train cats?

 

One of the most well known ways to cat training is called target training. Target training is where you catch the attention of your cat with the use of a stick or a wand. By using this you are able to attract the cat to stand up on his hind legs and beg.

 

 Another little tip is to dip the end of the wand in tuna oil this will sharpen your cats reflexes and grab attention.

When you are training your cat it important not to leave food around due to the fact he will not appreciate your reward when he or she obeys your commands.

Try to avoid the practice of free feeding it does not create a routine and will not help you to train your cat.
